SYRACUSE -- George B. Van Pelt, Jr., 57, died suddenly Monday at his residence. Born in New Jersey, he was the son of the late George B. and Sophia Van Pelt. Mr. Van Pelt was a graduate of Central College in Pella, Iowa and the New Brunswick Theological Seminary in New Brunswick, NJ, where he received a Master of Divinity degree. Mr. Van Pelt ministered at the Herkimer Reformed Church in Herkimer, NY for 11 years, the Catskill Reformed Church in Catskill for eight years and the Wynantskill Reformed Church for four years.
